This was a basket case.
It was originally a cream coloured example, which is rather rare. The unfortunate part is that this one got repainted in the seventies, and they did a terrible job. I had to strip the entire machine, and ultimately chose to repaint the machine red.
It was a machine that was complete save for the H typebar, but also one that was so rusty I had to build a zinc plating system to re-plate many of the smaller parts, like the ends of the typebars. On the whole though, the machine came back to life and the work put into it was ultimately worth it.
