Description:
This is a Special Continental typewriter with a rare keyboard cover. This keyboard cover is used to prevent you from looking at the keyboard when learning touch typing with ten fingers. I got this machine as a present from a man, his mother Taught people in a mountain village to type with ten fingers type. I have never seen a typewriter with a key cover like this.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Continental Standard on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Continental Serial Number page and the Continental Standard By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
