1934 Royal 10 Serial # KS-1635106 1934 Royal 10 typewriter, Serial # KS-1635106 J Donaldson's 1934 Royal 10 typewriter. 2021-09-13 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of J Donaldson: 1934 Royal 10 Serial # KS-1635106 My grandpa (Richard Pender) gave this to me.
He couldn't remember when, where, or who he got it from.
Everything seems to work. Still can type onto paper with
the old black ink ribbon that's still in it. However it's
missing one of the glass side panels and was replaced by a
plastic one.
The typeface specimen example is the old piece of paper that
was in the typewriter when my grandpa got it, I believe, and
was in it when he gave it to me. It also says, "This was Walter S Thornber's typewriter".
Not sure who that is. Would be cool to find out who he was and when he owned this old typewriter...
