Description:
This Remington originally belonged to my late grandfather, which he used while studying at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. It ended up with my mother some time after they moved, I didn't even know she still had it.
It's a treasured family heirloom which tipped me over the "collection" mark for machines.
It only needed wiped down, the inside of the case cleaned, and a new ribbon to type again. I've done nothing else to it.
The irony is not lost on me that the typewriter belonging to a mechanical engineer who helped me love to fix things still works fine, more than a decade after he's gone.
