Description:
This is my 1933 (?) gradient brown Royal P (portable) typewriter with Vogue typeface (font) in its original case. It is in excellent condition, and completely functional with all original parts. There are very small chips in the finish on the top left and right, and discolouration of the paper under the “5” “P” and “0” keys.
This typewriter was passed down to me by my mother, who inherited it from her brother (my uncle), who inherited it from my Great Grandfather, who lived in Reno, Nevada. It has been in my family since its purchase.
I have not been able to access any online photos, information, or records of its existence. If anyone has any additional information about it, I would be very appreciative.

I am new to the world of typewriters, and have just recently inherited a Royal P typewriter with a textured copper/caramel finish and a Vogue typeface - Serial number P342274 that has been very difficult to find online. I am interested in posting photos and asking for information from other enthusiasts, as well as learning more about typewriters of the same era!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
