Description:
Erika with Consularschrift, This typeface differs only minimally from the well-known "Vertical Script" typefaces. The biggest differences are in the capital letters and the numbers. This machine is in very nice optical condition, but all rubber parts need to be renewed. And one part is obviously very, very, very bent. I have no idea why the machine has 2 Paper Bail Rollers - or rather, a second horizontal support.

So that I don't have to write every word by hand when learning Italian, I bought my first typewriter. Now I am surrounded by 5 Olivetti machines ... they seem to be attracted to my new language skills. And because I quickly discovered my interest in different typefaces, I focused my collection on them. I currently have 23 different typefaces on 26 machines.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika 5 Tab on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika 5 Tab By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
