Description:
The Mikron was a predecessor of the Olivetti MP1 (Ico). Introduced by Olivetti in order to add a line of portable machines, the Mikron is really a Torpedo 14. Only the shell is slightly modified (cf. the article by B. Kerschbaumer in ETCetera No. 117). I consequently referred to the Torpedo age list for dating the machine.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olivetti Mikron on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olivetti Serial Number page and the Olivetti Mikron By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
