Description:
My very first typewriter was a blue duotone Royal P, which coincidentally, appears to be on this site with a new owner (my mom sold it in a garage sale 20 years ago). I thought it would be nice to have another one, so I found this rather less pretty, but apparently much rarer Royal P in a grey crinkle paint finish. I don't believe this is a repaint, as the interior of the machine is also fully painted. There's only one other Royal P in this finish on this site, and that also happens to be a 1930 model.
Typewriter is currently rather dirty, but works fully and smoothly, and appears to have been used at least into the plastic spool era.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
