Description:
This is a carriage shifted rebuilt Royal 10. Check out the non-glass Underwood looking plastic keys with the green function keys. I actually really like this machine a lot. Also see the paper bail installed backwards which makes me laugh and the thick newish bail rollers.
Snagged for an honest $50 April 2016 at an antique store in Harrisonburg, VA.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
