Description:
Wonderful L C Smith Corona 4 with a Croatian keyboard.
If I read the serial number correctly, it was made in early May of 1930.
It needs a bit of cleaning, but otherwise in perfect mechanical condition EXCEPT the bell mechanism which (unfortunately for me) someone removed. The bell is still there but much of the mechanism is gone, so I have two options: to try and find replacement parts or to try and reproduce the parts that are missing. The absence of the bell can be a bit of a nuisance because you don't know when to stop typing unless you always look at the carriage.

I'm younger than most typewriter collectors on this site at just 19 years old, but I know my way around typewriters pretty well. I think I am one of the very few people who know how to repair and restore various typewriter models in Croatia. My passion is to restore any typewriter I receive to full working condition.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona 4 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona 4 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
