Description:
This is a model that doesn't seem to be on the Typewriter Database list but this could be the equivalent to the Simplex #3. This particular one has a drawer made of paper underneath where there was a simple gadget with blue ink, which may have been used for the prints on this model. I bought this on goodwill complete with an ad card showing other models and their prices as well as extra sheets of cards, some with prints most probably made on this particular typewriter.

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
I'm currently a visiting professor at a university in Japan and it is heaven here to see so many typewriters being auctioned online!
