Description:
I believe this is a rare index typewriter made in Germany, as shown by a stamp in blue ink on the metal cover of its case/container. The Frolio is very light (ca. 4 kg) and functions well, although it is missing its ribbon and so the seller used carbon paper to produce the result. Somebody attempted to clean this up with the wrong chemicals, causing the paint to turn opaque and scratched. Too bad.

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
I'm currently a visiting professor at a university in Japan and it is heaven here to see so many typewriters being auctioned online!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Frolio 5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Frolio Serial Number page and the Frolio 5 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
