Description:
Applying Imperial typewriter serial numbers. This is an Imperial Model D, produced in Leicester, England, and distributed in France under the name "TYPO" by Manufacture Française dâArmes et de Cycles of St. Etienne, France. This variant lacking shift double shift keys on the right side figures as "No. 3" in the sales catalogue of Manufacture Française dâArmes et de Cycles.I like the fact that you can detach the keyboard & types easily. It was tricky to reattach, though (at least for me). I got this from a French collector friend. Thank you!

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Typo (Imperial) 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Typo (Imperial) Serial Number page and the Typo (Imperial) 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
