Description:
My second Corona Four. This is the "V" type of the Corona 4, marked by black crackled paint on certain sections of the body. It's quite clean but not working. The carriage string is cut and the keys don't strike. For her age, though, she is still a thing of beauty. And its carrying case is remarkably well-preserved.

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
I'm currently a visiting professor at a university in Japan and it is heaven here to see so many typewriters being auctioned online!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona 4 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona 4 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
