Description:
What I love most about typewriter collecting is the wide variety of ways inventors devised to translate thoughts in our heads, out through our fingertips and onto a sheet of paper to share with the world. In this regard, I've always considered the Mignon one of the most fascinating machines, though they're rarely found "in the wild" here in the US. So, when I found one for sale in Ansonia, CT in March of 2021, I figured out a way to get there and back... which involved leaving at 5am on a Sunday morning to beat traffic in New York City, driving 3 1/2 hours each way. Totally worth it.
