A beautiful Spanish layout machine. To be serviced soon. The spacebar was broken in transit but it is fixable.
This machine would have never found its way into my collection had it not been for my friend Lori. She won it from an auction house and then offered it to me since she knows that machines with Spanish layout keyboards are my favorite. The wonderful world of typewriters is filled with the kindest most thoughtful folks.
The machine is attached to the case base. The case is only missing its handle but it is otherwise intact and latches well. I have to thank the case for properly protecting the machine for nearly 100 years (writing this in 2026).

I love to write and found that writing on a typewriter is the most enjoyable and distraction-free way of doing it. I started with an Alphasmart, then moved to a Royalite, then to an Olympia SM5. The Olympia kept me fully satisfied for a good seven years until I got the bit by the collecting bug. Now I am slowly amassing my own personal typewriter museum. Typewriters are like personal printing presses. My partner is an engineer who can fix and clean any typewriter, so we make a great team.
