Sadly the red paint at the back of this typewriter has started flaking off, obviously due to very dry conditions while in storage over time. Nevertheless, all parts still work well despite its age.

I'm an archaeologist who writes heritage books and collects Japanese ceramics as well as quite a number of typewriters that I've acquired through purchase or as gifts over the last 10 years in the Philippines as well as in the US and Japan.
