1928 Royal P Serial # P65782 1928 Royal P typewriter, Serial # P65782 Massimo Martelancz's 1928 Royal P typewriter. 2021-05-06 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Massimo Martelancz: 1928 Royal P Serial # P65782 When the other day I was in a warehouse of old clothes and shoes and other things of little interest I would have never thought to find in a corner an old and dusty Royal P typewriter offered at a ridiculous price. Once cleaned, it turned out to be in excellent condition and in good working order. This specimen from 1928 is a first series with the reels not yet covered, not easy to find here in Italy.

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
