Description:
Got this from a friend who knows I am looking for them. Pretty well-preserved dark green alligator paint in a dark green cloth-covered wooden case the âRoyalâ embossed into it. Works well except that the slugs were completely filled with ink.
This is the one with a notice in the case,âTypewriters with this finish should NOT be cleaned with ALCOHOLâ.

While I find all of mankind's inventions interesting, I am most enchanted by the human-scale arts and devices, the ones that can be created (and repaired) in a home workshop or studio; the ones that can be understood by looking at them; the ones that do something useful or stir admiration. Typewriters work for me.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
