1928 Diamant 28 Serial # 16938 1928 Diamant 28 typewriter, Serial # 16938 Reinier Verkleij's 1928 Diamant 28 typewriter. 2024-06-30 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Reinier Verkleij: 1928 Diamant 28 Serial # 16938 The Diamant Model 28. Has a French "Azerty" keyboard, and was sold in Antwerp in a place called "Dactyloffice". Has this as a decal, as well as the "DIAMANT SCHREIBMASCHINENFABRIK FRANKFURT A/M W" DECAL, Diamant mod. 28 and DSF decal, with a small symbol on it.
Typewriter has a snapped drawband. Spring looks alot like that of the Corona 3 so it should be fixeable. The platen is practically frozen, there is quite a bit of dust and rust around it. The platen knob is present, but desintegrating so it needs to be replaced.
Long story short, it needs alot of work, but it should be mostly fixable.
