Description:
I was looking for a Triumph 10 for a long time. And happens that one appears in the wild, and its former owner was a well known poet, author of many remarkable tango lyrics. His name was Virgilio San Clemente, and between the performers of his tangoes there was a big name: Carlos Gardel (which was for tango what Frank Sinatra was as crooner). Luckily, San Clemente's niece granddaughter was selling the Triumph, at the time I was looking for one. So I have now the typewriter and a batch of tangoes written by San Clemente in this very machine (I've checked the typeface) and with his signature too!.
Part of the fun in collecting typewriters is the fact they have an history behind them. Well, in this particular case, I was able to get some of that history and, as you can see, I feel very lucky.
