Description:
This is a later manufactured Royal Model 10. Unlike the earlier manufactured examples, this one only has a single piece of beveled glass on each side as opposed two pieces per side. This particular example still functions perfectly and is a good example of 1920's office technology.

I am an IT professional who truly appreciates older technology. I am a moderate typewriter hunter with a small but growing collection. I like machines from all era's. In my office at work I have typewriters as part of my decor and explain the significance of the machines to anyone who is unfortunate enough to get trapped :-) I really am glad to have found this database and group of collectors.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal 10 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal 10 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
