1926 Royal P Serial # P6 FM 1926 Royal P typewriter, Serial # P6 FM Everett E Henderson Jr's 1926 Royal P typewriter. 2020-05-06 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Everett E Henderson Jr: 1926 Royal P Serial # P6 FM This is an early model that has components that are in the prototype range. It doesn’t appear to have been used on a regular basis. It has been repaired, adjusted, and has new rubber from a New Jersey business machine company. I removed the body and did a thorough cleaning - everything works as it should. The alignment appears a tad sporadic - but I will leave it because it might have come that way.

I use, collect, and repair/restore typewriters. I am particularly drawn to American typewriters of the 1920s - 1930s. I feel the designers really got some things right during that time. There is an honesty that the typewriters have about their designs. I particularly love the early Royal Ps.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal P on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal P By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
