Description:
I found this one in Munich, Germany - it was in a pretty bad state. All the keys were jammed from decades of grime and old oil, almost every single part had some kind of rust on itself, and the typebars and keys were all completely rusted. Since the typebars were in such poor condition, I stripped them from their old paint and rust and repainted them so they could push on for another 100 years.
Unfortunately, the front decal had worn out over time so I didn't want to damage it any further during the restoration.
The typewriter has been completely disassembled and every moving part was meticulously cleaned and lubricated, the keys were taken off and cleaned with rubbing alcohol
and after all that was taken care of, its a pretty nice machine to use every day.

I'm younger than most typewriter collectors on this site at just 19 years old, but I know my way around typewriters pretty well. I think I am one of the very few people who know how to repair and restore various typewriter models in Croatia. My passion is to restore any typewriter I receive to full working condition.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Continental Standard on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Continental Serial Number page and the Continental Standard By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
