1923 Underwood Portable 3 Bank Serial # 92315 1923 Underwood Portable 3 Bank typewriter, Serial # 92315 Grayson Harding's 1923 Underwood Portable 3 Bank typewriter. 2025-04-26 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Grayson Harding: 1923 Underwood Portable 3 Bank Serial # 92315 Found it in my great grandma's house after she passed. It mostly works fine. The margin bell is missing the trapezoid lifter thingamabob. The box has been damaged and attempted to be repaired. The line space setter is a bit dysfunctional, as a nut has to be loosened for the spacer to space the right amount. Gave it away to a friend of mine after I got an Olympia SM9

The cover for the box. It seems to have been damaged at one point in time. If anyone knows if I could buy a latch for this, I could get the box working.

Some missing pieces of the margin bell mechanism I found in a rolled up piece of tape under the typewriter. I am still currently missing a tiny bit to stop the trapezoid from moving too far, so if anyone knows where I can find that, I would finally be able to get the bell working!

My first typewriter was an Underwood Portable 3 Bank and I have been fascinated with the mechanical construction ever since.
