First time I saw this black beauty out in the wild was love at first sight and a motivation for me to acquire not only this typewriter but typewriters as a whole. This is the 2nd machine I acquired for my collection.

I have admired typewriters since I found my fairly recently acquired 1923 Underwood No. 5 from a local antique store in my hometown of Mount Vernon, Ohio. To me, typewriters are a window to the soul, allowing the user to creatively express themselves and to get to know more about themselves through poems, art, newsletters, or whatever the typer chooses to craft and create. I am always on the hunt and keep my eyes peeled for new finds wherever and whenever they come my way.
