Picked this Oliver no. 11 up just yesterday, as craigslist find. More shocking than finding an Oliver 11 in north Idaho was the fact that the individual selling it was a very decent person. My previous encounters make me wary to use craigslist truth be told. Anyway, that all aside...
I figured the database, somehow, didn't have a no. 11 on it yet, so I'd go ahead and get it uploaded before i restore it. Its backlogged behind a corona 3, an underwood 5, two fox portables, and an underwood 3 bank, so it'll be awhile before I upload better pictures and a type-sample.
Serial number of 1,006,717 places it in 1923 amongst the production run of the no. 9s and 10s on the chart.
Pretty decent condition I think, paint has a few issues but is smooth, and I can easily combat the rust as I disassemble it down to individual pieces for cleaning. I must admit to love the simplicity of the Olivers in their engineering.
I miss those side handles though
