Description:
Underwood Portable Three Bank. This will be a project machine this summer. When I bought it, it was in rough shape. I've been able to fix most issues and clean it, but there are some escapement issues that still need to be fixed and the figure characters still need an alignment. These machines and their big brother, the Four Bank are joys to write on. Hopefully I get this machine in good working order soon.

I'm a software engineer in the Chicagoland area. I've been collecting "vintage" vinyl, computers, mechanical keyboards and typewriters since I was a kid. Born into an analog world, but grew up in a digital one.
My wife is a writer and I enjoy problem solving and puzzles, so naturally fixing I fell in love with fixing and maintaining typewriters and she then gets to enjoy all of these machines!
