This typewriter was designed in 1922 by Franz Kraudzun (1885 - 1943) and it was originally sold as the Mitex. It was produced by Mitex Schreibmaschinen Gesellschaft, G.m.b.H., located at 146 Seegefelder Street in Spandau-West, Berlin, Germany. In 1923 the name of the typewriter and company was changed to Tell, located at the same address. Kraudzun had previously developed the Senta.
