Description:
Tiniest little thing, maybe 6 pounds or 2. kg, with the smallest box to carry it in! This types very nice for being an early Noiseless Portable. Best to keep it attached to its box as the little feet are too small. [ smudges are type-through, this types very well ]

Born and raised less than a quarter mile from The Noiseless factory in Middletown, CT. (It was Remington Rand by the time I came around). I was getting interested in mechanical typewriters when my wife brought home a blue 1965 Smith-Corona Sterling in perfect condition. Now I own 21 mechanical and 3 electric typewriters!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Noiseless Portable on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Noiseless Serial Number page and the Noiseless Portable By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
