Description:
Household sale southwest Nebraska.
Came with soft fitted black dust cover that is very old but has no markings.
Very good condition, all keys working, carriage/escapement good. Ribbon vibrator needs adjustment when set to Red.
Ribbon reverse functions well after cleaning and light oil.
Good alignment using left shift key. One foot has crumbling rubber.
Platen rubber very hard, width measured at 9 3/4 inches
Mostly standard US keyboard, All slugs have casting mark "UP"
Added pics of slugs.
Crumbled rubber feet replaced with hardware store bumpers, make sure the feet are as tall as originals.
The backspace key function requires taller feet for clearance.
Right shift lock needs more work.
Upper case alignment is odd but now perfect.
Very snappy action now.
No rust at all seen after carriage removed for cleaning, very lucky that this machine was stored covered in a dry environment.
Left side frame paint in area of bell shows some sloppy factory work.

Retired to the quiet of rural Nebraska to contemplate nature.
Typing down thoughts, prefer that to handwriting.
Not really a collector, just like to tinker on mechanical things.
