This was way before I became addicted to typewriters, she purchased it as a curio for display on our bookshelf.

The carriage is hung up because the draw band is caught up, and it's also off the capstan. I'm confident I can clean this up, possibly even do the repairs myself. The platen is very beat, but all of the keys function well.
