It is a cheap toy typewriter. Many models available, very few of them valuable (not this one, surely).
Sometimes one feels temptated to have the odd toy typewriter in a growing collection. Well, that is the reason of this Simplex in mine.The real "bonus" is the cardboard box with the instruction sheet inside: its condition is A+ (I guess a kid never put its filthy little fingers on it).
