Description:
A dirty 1919 No 5 that had a misaligned carriage, missing feet, sad rollers, and some other issues. It has decals with 1920s patents, so I think it was refurbed at some point. These are the before and after shots.
Tylewriter was flushed with mineral spirits and blown out with compressed air. Rollers were replaced with vacuum hose - boy that job was the worst! I also made a new spring for the right margin release lever. Slapped a ribbon in it and it types likes a champ.
