I was able to narrow down the date of this sample by the stamps on the packaging. Research of the 4cent Washington, with 4 sided perforations and dual branded watermark, place the date of the stamps at 1908 to 1909, while the last patent making places it at 1914, So I suspect 1915 is a pretty accurate date.. for the unit. http://values.hobbizine.com/stamps/us-1908-09.html. Still trying to get other info off the packaging to narrow down the date. Although is rough shape, the unit still functions as intended. Indexing still works, and all letters are present.

I have been collecting, restoring, and repairing, for a bit over 2 years now. The Majority of my collection is Mid and early century, and my preferred period is developing more to 19th century and early 20th. I am currently seeking more 19th century models to add to the collection.
