Description:
If you want to type like it's the Old Wet, use this machine. Fitted with comically large 9 CPI font you could be legally blind and still be able to read it. This L.C. Smith #5 has seen better days and is extremely worn out, to the point where the space-bar only works on one side. The chrome however, somehow survived and the fact that it has been repainted hasn't ruined how it shows.
Serves as an anti-thesis to the classic Underwood, but it feels more old-fashioned besides being a segment shift machine.

Together they have established Venneburg Typewriters, a partnership that to date has seen over 400 typewriters since 2009. Here you will find the machines that are currently still in possession or that have come and gone since December 2017.
***As of July 2020, this collection now also represents pieces from the collection of Troy Krahn!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the L.C. Smith 5 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the L.C. Smith Serial Number page and the L.C.
