Description:
A Bennett typewriter, not functional but could probably be made to be so. If the Carriage is in place, typing a key (those that move) will cause the type wheel to turn and the carriage to advance. It has been in the "heirloom" display case for the last 50 years and hasn't been used for quite some time before that. This typewriter belongs to my Uncle's father, though i don't know how much it was used by him or if he was the original purchaser. I think so, but I am not certain of that. At any rate, it has been in the family for at least 100 years. The serial number is on the right side of the carriage and there are patent dates visible by removing the keyboard.

Collector of several things, including typewriters, slide rules, and mechanical calculators.
Started collecting typewriters in 2023 with a Royal HHE like the one I did my first book report on when I was in school and using my dad's old typewriter.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Bennett Bennett on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Bennett Serial Number page and the Bennett Bennett By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
