Description:
Just arrived, dismantled, cleaned, and put together.
The way the printer element moves following the stylus is sweet as a technological dance.
Furthermore, this delicate single element predates more than half a century the well known IBM selectric writing ball (or "golf ball"), and equals the ease of replacement.
The card containing the letters, numbers and particular writing signs is easy to replace too, in order to match the printer element you are using.
Taking advantage of my today's work with this typewriter, I've took some photographs I hope will be useful for other Mignon owners.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Mignon 2 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Mignon Serial Number page and the Mignon 2 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
