1911 Mignon 2 Serial # 38775 1911 Mignon 2 typewriter, Serial # 38775 Mark Schrad's 1911 Mignon 2 typewriter. 2023-03-05 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Mark Schrad: 1911 Mignon 2 Serial # 38775 I got this 1911 Mignon 2 with French, umm, keyboard(?) from a fellow collector at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in February, 2023. Beyond the wear to the paper table and the missing housing, it had good bones to it. I did a full tear-down, clean, and rebuild on it, especially to get rid of all the congealed oil and muck that was gumming up much of the mechanism. Now it works as well as can be expected from one of these very unusual machines.

Description:

I got this 1911 Mignon 2 with French, umm, keyboard(?) from a fellow collector at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in February, 2023.
