Description:
This is the first production model of The Noiseless standard typewriter which featured the cam-driven typebars. This feature was not well received and it was removed from production in about a year's time.
This typewriter is particularly special to me, not because it is valuable or rare, but because I once worked across the street from the old Noiseless Typewriter Factory in Middletown, Connecticut.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Noiseless No.1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Noiseless Serial Number page and the Noiseless No.1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
