1910 Bennett Pocket Model Serial # 26531 1910 Bennett Pocket Model typewriter, Serial # 26531 JP Huard's 1910 Bennett Pocket Model typewriter. 2015-03-22 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of JP Huard: 1910 Bennett Pocket Model Serial # 26531 Another great gift from Katie, this Bennett Portable showed up on eBay from what ended up being a local seller (saved on shipping by picking it up in person!)

It's a work in progress; I unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to put it side by side with a fully functional one to track down the gremlins in mine, so to speak. As of right now, it gets stuck when some keys are depressed, and I'm having trouble figuring out exactly why... It should be easy because of how "simple" a design it is, but it's always harder without a working one to compare to...

You'll notice in one of the pictures that I have a set of new water slide decals which were a gift from Paul Robert (for those of you who aren't familiar with his work, visit this site and get acquainted: http://catch55.home.xs4all.nl/ ) at the Chestnut Ridge typewriter gathering... Someday down the line, I do intend to have this machine working perfectly and looking like a million bucks, and these will be what completes the restoration.
