190X Postal 4 Serial # 8895 190X Postal 4 typewriter, Serial # 8895 Guillermo Fernandez Boan's 190X Postal 4 typewriter. 2016-04-22 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Guillermo Fernandez Boan: 190X Postal 4 Serial # 8895 I've supposed it is a Postal 4 just because I've read in Mr. Herman J. Price's web page that " The text on model 3 or 4 differs by saying Norwalk or a foreign locale". (In this typewriter you can read "Norwalk") and also that "The Postal 4 is the export version of the Postal 3. This keyboard features international punctuation" (you can find the letter "ñ" in this typewriter, andI've found it in Tucumàn City, an argentinian city located around 600 miles from Buenos Aires).
The serial number is a low one, possibly this typewriter was made around 1903.
Of course, I am looking for typewriter experts advice about this typewriter, in order to change whatever I should ammend about it.
The typewriter box was preserved in very good condition. Even the left and right locks are there (and they lock efficiently the cover and the typewriter wooden base)

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Postal 4 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Postal Serial Number page and the Postal 4 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
