Description:
Noticeably different than its predecessor, The Chicago No.1, this No.3 still relies on several of the same mechanical principals. These include the horizontal type sleeve, WERTY keyboard layout and hammer extension arm. However, had one viewed both models for the first time side-by-side and with their insignia stripped, one would think the No.3 was made first because it appears less refined.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Chicago No.3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Chicago Serial Number page and the Chicago No.3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
