This machine was a gift to me by my husband for our first wedding anniversary. I will be restoring it in the future. I am not sure if this machine was manufactured late 1890s after it was acquired by Hill, or early 1900s. Because of the "early* serial number as compared to what little resources are online for the Chicago...I believe this to be an extremely early machine that directly followed Hill's acquisition closer to the 1898-1900 mark.
