Description:
I have always wanted a Continental Standard typewriter with the little orange picture. Unfortunately, the lettering under the picture is rubbed away. Nevertheless, this machine is in a very good optical and technical condition.
When I type on this machine, (which I don't do often, it is a collectors machine) then I notice how the company "Continental" was still in its infancy, this machine is not as precise, fast and quiet when typing as my two other Continental Standard machines from 1933 and 1936.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Continental Standard on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Continental Serial Number page and the Continental Standard By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
