Description:
This model of the #4 shows the external variant of the ribbon drive mechanism. The units is shown after cleaning and repairs. Unfortunately the left platen knob was damaged in shipping. The keys all move freely, and the cleaning brush in in place. The unit had a great deal of surface dirt, and old gummy grease, and was missing the carriage bearings to keep in place. The unit was stripped down to about 40%, and all mechanism's cleaned and re-lubricated. Paint is 98% original, all graphics were saved. The graphics are in good to very good condition, given the as received condition of unit. The Rubber feet have been replaced and I've installed a new ribbon, and submitted a type sample.

I have been collecting, restoring, and repairing, for a bit over 2 years now. The Majority of my collection is Mid and early century, and my preferred period is developing more to 19th century and early 20th. I am currently seeking more 19th century models to add to the collection.
