This is a Williams Academy, this machine is a recycled Williams 2. The Williams Academy differs from the Williams 2 in the wide spacebar and the high nickel-plated bars. The Williams 2 has lower nickel-plated bars and a narrow space bar. This machine is in good technical and visual condition. I bought it from a collector in Switzerland. This Williams typewriter was in the collection of the late Mr. Diernbacher from Vienna

The paper is rolled into these wire baskets. It is then guided over the roller during writing and then Letter rolled back into the second wire basket

With this machine you can adjust the position of the bell release lever. This allows you to set when the bell rings. Very cool. It is the first time I have seen something like this on a typewriter.See.

The serial number is stamped under the left frame next to the keyboard and on the front chrome plate that says "Williams" which is attached to the type bars.
