Description:
Bought this from a woman in Spokane, WA who had blue hair. She’s a friend of a friend who found this among an estate sale she was helping to manage. She said it belonged to her father and guessed that he’d inherited it from his mother.
It’s got quite a bit of rust and looks as though it had been home to a good many spiders at one time.
I think I’ll call her Llolth.
Let the resoration begin.

There's little more satisfying than finding a typewriter in bad shape and bringing her back to life.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Monarch 1 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Monarch Serial Number page and the Monarch 1 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
