Description:
Smith Premier 1
This typewriter was first produced in 1889 by Alexander Brown, an engineer working in the gun factory L.C. Smith & Brothers.
This machine, inspired by the Remington 5 and the Caligraph typewriters, introduced a QWERTY extended keyboard and pivot-driven keys, and integrate a round brush for an easy typebar cleaning.
