Description:
This impressive typewriter has a distinct low profile with a narrow 'waist' and features an exquisite gold decal with an eagle centered in the typewriter's name.
This typewriter uses a type-wheel that is easy to remove, allowing for another type-wheel to go on with a different font. When typing, a spring loaded hammer behind the carriage swings forward and strikes the paper and ribbon against the type-wheel.

I am a collector of 19th century typewriters and have built a collection that shows the remarkable ingenuity and beauty of the world's first typewriters. I have always been interested in the beginnings of a machine when there is an eruption of approaches to making it. Early typewriters are an exceptional example of this incubation period.
